(Nancroix, Vallandry, Plan-Peisey)
The villages of Peisey Vallandry are part of the skiing area of ‘La Plagne’. The villages start with ‘Peisey Le Villaret Moulin’. However the nearest ski lift is in the neighboring village called Nancroix which sits at an altitude of 1400 metres. It was here in the village of Nancroix where one of the very first ski lifts in the Savoie region was built.
The next village slightly higher up the mountain is called Vallandry (1600 metres altitude). This small village has recently celebrated its’ 20th anniversary of being a ski resort. The village has been built on the border of a forest and is comprised of individual chalets, and buildings designed to complement the surrounding landscape.
The village of Plan-Peisey (1650 metres altitude) is situated right beside the village of Vallandry. Plan-Peisey provides the connection point for the famous ‘Vanoise Express’ cable-car, this links the La Plagne skiing area and the Les Arcs skiing area together. These two areas combined form the ‘Paradiski’ domain.
Peisey Vallandry is a great choice for those skiers wishing to make the most of the huge Paradiski domain, and also to experience the true, cozy ambience of the Savoyard Mountains.
