With a travelling distance of 71 kilometres from the city of Grenoble, just after the town of Bourg d’oisans, the second oldest ski resort in France is located… Les 2 Alpes. This ski resort sits at an altitude of 1650 metres and is home to Europes largest skiable glacier. In total, Les 2 Alps has 220 kilometres of ski slopes and is known by many for its well developed snow park. Les 2 Alpes is one of the few ski resorts in France which is also open from mid-June to the end of August for summertime skiing.
Les 2 Alpes has a funicular railway which runs underneath the glacier, allowing all tourists to reach the top of the mountain and enjoy the panoramic views. Weather permitting, the city of Grenoble and also the mountain of Mont Blanc can be seen from there.

Les 2 Alpes Ski Transfers
Most skiing tourists will use the Grenoble Airport (GNB) when travelling to Les 2 Alpes. This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. The second nearest airport is Chambery airport (CMF), with the journey taking just under 2 hours. Slightly further away is Lyon Airport (LYS) with a travelling time of around 2 hours 30 minutes, and lastly, Geneva Airport (GVA) taking approximately 3 hours.
